This is now a firmly-established event with our audiences and the choir alike. Once again the singers were joined by the award-winning Oldham Band (Lees) in a programme to set the scene for Christmas.  Nigel Wilkinson conducted the choral pieces with Angela Lloyd-Mostyn as accompanist, and the congregational carols with the band accompanying.  Paul Andrews (at short notice) conducted the band in their solo items.

The church was well filled, and everybody seemed to enjoy themselves.  Comments afterwards from audience, choir, band and conductor were enthusiastic.  A spirited rendering of John Rutter’s arrangement of “Deck the Halls” was one of the highlights.
